In this phase of our competitive club program, our ACADEMY PHASE (DEVELOPMENT PHASE) we prioritize developing players' technical development. We focus on refining player's individual abilities to dominate opponents one-on-one, while also introducing teamwork concepts like spacing and combinations. Overall, we aim to prepare players comprehensively for the next level of our program (Futures), ensuring they are not only technically proficient but are ready to take on tactical information.

SEASONAL PROGRAMMING

Fall Teams

Tryouts in late summer and play in OneDay Shootout tournaments  in September and October, preparing for High School team tryouts.

Spring Teams

Tryouts in late winter after the local High School season is complete. Spring teams will practice twice a week starting in March and participate in 7 weekend tournaments beginning in early spring.

Summer Teams

Continue player development and growth and participate in summer practices and weekend tournaments! Tournaments typically in August.

    All High School Wizards teams are coached and mentored by WAA Wizards Director, Coach Duncan Ward. Coach Dunc is committed to working with players to continue to master the fundamentals of basketball; develop as a competitive player and focus on the physical and mental quickness necessary to advance as a high school and college level player.
