Program Director/Head Coach/Skill Instructor
Duncan Ward
  • In his basketball director role, Coach Dunc is also part of the coaching staff for High School, Middle School and Elementary School teams.
  • Conducts basketball skill trainings and handles all tryout, pre-tryout camps, and off-season conditioning for the Wizards boys and girls.
  • 4-year letterman in football, and 3-year letterman in basketball at Crete Monee High School.
  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Elmhurst University where he was a 3-year letterman in football.
  • Earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University and a Master’s degree in Human Services Administrator from Spertus University, Chicago.
  • Licensed Social Workers (LSW) and is employed as an Administrator in the social services sector.
  • Illinois High School Association Official (referee).
  • Coach – American Sports Education Program (ASEP) – Human Kinetics Coach Center.
  • As a Head Coach for the Wizards basketball teams since 2014, Coach Dunc basketball teams have won multiple DuPage Youth Travel Basketball league championships on each level (Elite, Gold, Silver and Bronze). Coach Dunc teams have achieved 1st place in several tournaments throughout Illinois counties of DuPage, Cook, Will, Kane and out of state in Wisconsin ad Indiana. He has been instrumental in player development for several past and current high school varsity, sophomore, and freshman basketball players in neighboring school districts of 202, 203, 204 and OCSD 308. Coach Dunc deeply and truly loves working with the Wheatland Athletic Association board, staff, parents, and participants (young and older youths).

Deacon Broad
  • Wizards alumni and former player at Metea Valley High School.
  • Naperville, IL native
  • Played under Coach Dunc in the Wizards travel basketball program.
  • Developed a love for training and coaching through his experiences playing, as well as helping others develop their own game.
  • Since he began coaching on the travel basketball circuit, Coach Deac teams have won several shootout tournaments and competed successfully in the DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League.
  • Known in the area for his great jump shot and instructs his players with the same techniques through skill development and trainings.

Caleb Neal
  • Wizards alumni and former player at Waubonsie Valley High School.
  • Played under Coach Dunc in the Wizards travel basketball program.
  • Aurora, IL native
  • Over his years of competing, Coach Caleb became one of the most feared defensive players in the area and teaches his players the critical aspects of great defense.
  • Along with coaching, Coach Caleb is training and developing Wizards players of all ages.
  • Younger brothers also competed in the Wizards program over the years.
