Wizards Basketball

Basketball Program & Training

The Wheatland Wizards Travel Basketball program Director, Trainers and staff, believe that the proper approach to developing a high level basketball player is to have a mix of high quality skills training, proper game preparation and strategy and the proper level of competition. The Director has made a commitment to the Wizards program by implementing player development training in order to master the fundamentals of basketball. Along with encouraging player physical fitness and mental quickness. These are skills necessary for players that want to advance into high school and college level basketball. Trainings will be provided by Coach Dunc and a staff of qualified basketball trainers.

The Wheatland Wizards Program is focused on the athlete that is involved in multiple sports and activities but wants to continue to develop competitively in basketball. The season places high emphasis on training and practice time throughout the season. Training opportunities will be available in the summer, team practice begins in September and games/tournaments begin in early November and going through March. The program balances hard work and fun. The current roster of players in the Wheatland Wizards program come from communities such as Naperville, Aurora, North Aurora, Montgomery, Oswego, Plainfield and Bolingbrook to name a few. The majority of participants are from the Naperville District 204 area, but all communities are invited to tryout for travel basketball.
