Wizard Boys Spring Teams

Program Details:

The Wheatland Wizards Basketball Club is a Premier Competitive Regional Traveling Basketball Program of the Wheatland Athletic Association which is based in the Naperville/Aurora, Plainfield, and Oswego area. Coach Duncan Ward serves as the Director of the Wheatland Wizards Basketball Program.

The Wheatland Wizards Travel Basketball program objective is to DEVELOP basketball players mentally and physically.  Our focus is through proper instruction to enhance participants basketball IQ, skill development, and provide appropriate competition.

Wizards Travel Basketball emphasizes: Man-to-man defense principles, full court, aggressive trapping defense, quick, transition offense & efficient spacing and floor balance offensively.

Season Information:
3-8 Grade – Practice begins the week of March 16th.  Games begin April 4th through June 7th.  Teams will have 2 practices per week and 8-9 weekend tournaments.
High School – Practice begins the week of March 16th.  Games begin April 4th through June 7th.  Teams will have 2 practices per week and 8-10 weekend tournaments.

Current Information:

  • All WAA programs are suspended until May 31, 2020.
  • Spring season is cancelled.
    • Planning for a summer season.  Participants were sent information via email.

Program Details:

The Wheatland Wizards Basketball Club is a Premier Competitive Regional Traveling Basketball Program of the Wheatland Athletic Association, based in the Naperville/Aurora, Plainfield and Oswego area. Coach Duncan Ward serves as the Director of the Wheatland Wizards Basketball Program, and the fall teams’ head coach.

The Wheatland Wizards Travel Basketball program objective is to develop basketball players into exceptional high school basketball players through education, skill development, and appropriate competition.

We emphasize: TEAMWORK!  Man-to-man defense principles, full court-aggressive trapping defense, quick-transition offense & efficient spacing and floor balance offensively.

Wizard High School Summer Teams

Program Details:

The Wheatland Wizards Basketball Club is a Premier Competitive Regional Traveling Basketball Program of the Wheatland Athletic Association which is based in the Naperville/Aurora, Plainfield and Oswego area.  Duncan Ward (Coach Dunc) serves as the Director of the Wheatland Wizards Basketball program, and the summer team’s Head Coach.

Eligible Players must be entering 9th thru 12th grade in the Fall (ages 14-17 years old).  Skilled 8th graders can tryout.  Practice begins the week of June 24th, and games begin the weekend of July 13th through September 1st.  Teams will have 2 practices per week and play in 6-7 High School level weekend tournaments.
